Newyddlen Ysgol Rhoscolyn #3

Blwyddyn Newydd Dda i blant, rhieni a ffrindiau Ysgol Rhoscolyn. Mae’n argoeli’n dymor prysur iawn, gydag Eisteddfodau’r Urdd o’n blaen, gwersi all-gwricwlaidd Awyr Agored, dau ddiwrnod HMS ac ymweliadauâ Venue Cymru i fwynhau dawnsio creadigol a Chanolfan Ucheldre i wrando ar gerddoriaeth Catrin Finch. Hoffwn fanteisio ar y cyfle i longyfarch pawb a fu’n gysylltiedig â Cinderella. Diolch hefyd i bawb a gefnogodd ein Ffair Nadolig, rydym ar fin archebu llyfrau llyfrgell gyda’r £1,200.

Croeso cynnes i Miss Catherine Tuck, gobeithiwn y byddwch yn mwynhau eich cyfnod gyda bl 1 a 2.

Llwyddiant Nofio Diolch i bawb a fu’n cystadlu yn y Gala Nofio mis Rhagfyr. Llongyfarchiadau ar ddod yn gyntaf ac ail yn ras Rhydd Bl 3 a 4. Pob lwc yn y gystadleuaeth cenedlaethol yng Ngaerdydd, Ionawr 24.

Gymnasteg Pob lwc hefyd Ysgol Rhoscolyn, wrth gystadlu yng nghystadleuaeth gymnasteg yr Urdd, Ionawr 13eg. Diolch yn fawr i’ch hyfforddwyr a’ch rhieni am eich cefnogi mor wych.

Cynlluniau Garddio Gwyliwch allan am addasiadau i’r llecyn y tu allan i ddrws Bl 1 a 2 - rydym am ei weddnewid gan greu gerddi pwrpasol.
Addasiad arall sydd wedi cymeryd lle yw fod Bl 12 a 34 wedi cyfnewid dosbarthiadau. Pam? Mae cynlluniau ar weill i greu dosbarth tu allan i Bl 12.

Bl 6 yn Dringo’r Waliau!  Ac yn bwriadu mwynhau pob munud o’u hamser yn y Beacon yn cychwyn yr wythnos hon!

Nofio a Chwaraeon yn y Ganolfan Hamdden Mae pryderon ynglyn a’r nifer fechan sy’n cyfrannu tuag at y bws nofio. Gofynnir yn garedig am £1 yr wythnos neu £10 y tymor (Bl 3-6). Fe all gweithgareddau fod yn y fantol os nad oes cyfraniadau. Diolch o galon i’r nifer fechan sydd yn cyfrannu—fe fyddai’n amhosib hebddoch!

A Happy New Year to pupils, parents and friends of Ysgol Rhoscolyn. It pro mises to be a busy term with the Eisteddfodau, Outdoor Adventure activities, two In Service Training days togetherwith visits to a Contemporary Dance performance at Venue Cymru and Catrin Finch at the Ucheldre. May I take the opportunity to congratulate all associated with our performances of Cinderella and thank everyone who supported our Christmas Fair, enabling us to order new library books with the £1,200.

We welcome Miss Catherine Tuck to Years 1 and 2.  We hope you enjoy your time with us at Rhoscolyn.

Swimming Success Congratulations to all the swimmers who attended the Gala in December. Congratulations Ysgol Rhoscolyn on your first and second place in the Yrs 3 and 4 freestyle. Best wishes in the next race at the Nationals in Cardiff, January 24th.

Gymnastic Duo Good luck also when competing in the Urdd Primary Gymnastics competition on January 13th. Many thanks to the coaches and your parents for such excellent support.

Gardening Plans Look out for adaptations to the disused grass area outside Year 1 and 2’s door - we’re transforming it into their very own allotment area. Another transformation has been the class exchange between Years 12 and 34. Why? Plans are in place to adapt the outside area into Year 12’s outdoor classroom.

Year 6 set on New Heights and plan to enjoy 6 weeks of climbing at the Beacon Centre, starting this week.

Swimming and Sports at the Leisure Centre There is increasing concern by the severe lack of contributions towards the bus to the centre. Please make your contributions, as the future of our lessons at the centre is at stake. (£1 per week, or £10 per term please, pupils in Yrs 3-6). We greatly appreciate the support of those who do contribute.

Due to the exciting adaptations to improve the parking area and pavements outside school it is now vital that parents collecting children are
vigilant in ensuring the safety of all by

parking appropriately, leaving the bus turning area outside the school gate CLEAR
pick up children FROM THE YARD
understand the reasons for the disruption for 6 weeks and either use the bus service or car-share if feasible
